Straight Answers.
Do I need any skydiving experience?+
No. Tandem is designed for first-timers. Your instructor handles the exit, freefall stability, canopy flight and landing. You just breathe and look around.
What if the weather is bad?+
If wind, cloud or visibility isn't safe, we reschedule at no cost. Iceland weather moves fast, so we sometimes shift slots by a few hours before we cancel a day.
How high do we jump from?+
Standard exit altitude is 10,000 ft (about 3,000 m) from our Cessna. That's roughly 60 seconds of freefall before the parachute opens.
Can I bring a camera or GoPro?+
Handheld cameras are not allowed in freefall for safety reasons. You can bring a GoPro on a proper head/chest strap only if agreed with your instructor in advance — our media package is the easier option.
Is skydiving safe?+
Tandem skydiving is the safest form of the sport. Our instructors are internationally certified, gear is inspected before every jump, and every rig carries a main parachute, a reserve parachute and an automatic activation device.
How long does the whole thing take?+
Plan on 2–3 hours at the dropzone from check-in to walking off with photos. The freefall itself is about a minute; everything else is briefing, flight and canopy.
What language is the briefing in?+
English by default. We also brief in Icelandic on request, and our team speaks a mix of other languages — tell us in advance if that helps.
Can I get photos or video of my jump?+
Yes. You can add a photo and video package during booking or at check-in — files are delivered digitally within 48 hours of your jump.
